Snowy scenes in North London. Almost 24 hours continuous snow brought a nice blanket of about 6 inches. This image was taken on Monday morning just after sunrise on Totteridge Lane a in the North of the London Borough of Barnet.
The cool blue morning light on the snow nicely contrast with the red London bus. A combination of ISO, aperture and shutter speed with the right ambient light levels made it possible to balance the light in the bus and the white surrounding and still have enough movement.

This first image is from Scotland in late November. On the way back from the famous parallel roads of Glen Roy we came past this large tree with the Nevis range in the background.

I stopped the car on the single track road (there is no traffic anyway as it is a dead end mountain road on a late November evening) and a 10 second exposure with an aperture of f/9.0 at ISO 100 gave me the perfect movement of the clouds over the Nevis range Continue reading
