Snowy London

Red bus in snowy London landscape.

Red bus in snowy London landscape.

Snowy scenes in North London. Almost 24 hours continuous snow brought a nice blanket of about 6 inches. This image was taken on Monday morning just after sunrise on Totteridge Lane a in the North of the London Borough of Barnet.

The cool blue morning light on the snow nicely contrast with the red London bus.  A combination of ISO, aperture and shutter speed with the right ambient light levels made it possible to balance the light in the bus and the white surrounding and still have enough movement.
